BIO

Dorado’s work is inspired by a curiosity for aspects of culture that promote joy de vivre, that lift the human spirit, specifically in the context of survival in exile, as tools to fend cultural erasure. A long life student of Tibetan Buddhism, Dorado has leaned on that philosophy to navigate her own experiences of marginalization and displacement as an immigrant from Colombia. A visit to their refugee communities in India led her to write her third book, that focused on traditional Tibetan arts  as a form of cultural preservation; their practices of  kindness, humor and compassion informs her work to this day.

Dorado will begin work as an story editor and creative producer on a sequel of the feature film ‘Pelucas y Rokanrol’ alongside Mario Duarte that just got green lighted for pre-production and will be filmed later in the year 2023. The music video that she wrote and directed for his band La Derecha alongside Sean Webley is set for release on July 2022.o

Dorado is represented by Segundo Morán in CDMX Mexico for Latin America, and she is part of Melanie Vessey’s boutique PR  agency Promotional Rescue clients in Los Angeles.
